A rainy day at AgnesBooks
This week has had lots of happenings, Mark Jarman our resident bookbinder had a frightening moment on Monday, the first we knew about it, was when we heard a great big crash from out of the bindery. Agnes & I went to see what it was only to find Mark laying on the floor.
What we thought as funny was in fact really serious, will we ring an ambulance? No Mark said I’ll just go home. No mate you better not drive. Eventually I said I will take your car home & Mark can come with us. Consequently not much work was done today. Hope everything goes better tomorrow.
Oh and yes Mark was much better the next day but more about that latter. Meanwhile the books are stacking up.
Some of my favourite Australian book search websites
Here is a quick list of Aussie book search websites.
- Bookzangle Is the most progressive by a long margin of all the booksellers worldwide. A great source for all sorts of rare books.
- Bookshops .com.au a nice simple Australian site for used books
- Books & Collectibles A good simple site with great value old books.
- ebay Everyone knows ebay you can find nearly anything on ebay they have a great range of secondhand books.
There are a few other sites around, but by far these are the best.
After much work we have finally developed a way of listing our books on eBay. A long journey but one I’m sure the staff AgnesBooks will relish.
Our site is AgnesRareBooks only has a fraction of our stock. But we have been burning the midnight oil trying to find a new way of listing our books.
So for great service & FREE postage check out our new eBay store. Take the time to read our feedback.
